起跑時,氣溫21℃,還有些涼,但我知道太陽露臉就會很曬,而且跑在72號快速道路上,一點遮蔭都沒有。跟板橋馬一樣,心裡設定是場保4大作戰。果然第7km,太陽就很刺眼了,但風還是涼的;前半馬折返時,與106.12.17臺北馬配速差不多,疲勞感還不明顯,後半馬會如何,還不清楚,但心裡決定21~30km稍為降點速,每個水站都進去補水補鹽;過30km時,耗時2:35左右,配速仍與臺北馬相當,但太陽已經很曬了;因為只剩最後12km,我決定隔站補水,節省時間;最後7km,疲勞感顯現,已經不可能破臺北馬紀錄,但還在可接受範圍,絕對可以在3:48以內完賽,心裡多了一分篤定;為了保持不抽筋,貼在6分速前進。因為是低抬腿滑步跑,路面上的碎石子就顯得很惱人;而且工作人員佇在路口,像人形立牌,完全不指引方向,每每要讓我停下來問向哪方向跑?最後1,500m,女總二從我身邊經過,我無意追趕,選擇穩穩地進場;進體育場前最後500m,我又追過一位折返前刷過我的年輕人,他抽筋倒在地上。我滿心以為自己應該可以獲得分組獎盃,沒想到列印出完賽證明,卻是令人扼腕的名落孫山——分組第3!實在太可惜了,不然這場賽事,跑得實在不算差。有時比賽就是這樣,跑得荒腔走板,只剩勉強拿個獎盃遮羞;有時明明有所突破,卻只獨缺獎盃。
